L'académie des Objets Trouvés sits almost a mile from the main road, the school building the only one visible looming through the trees. The entire property is surrounded by an enchanted, heavy black wrought iron fence that keeps outsiders away, and the students safely inside. Toward the rear of the property is a thousand acre forest, behind which is the rocky coastline and then the unforgiving cold waters of the Northern Atlantic ocean. A 500 acre section of the forest has an additional, electrified fence surrounding it, and it used as a section for the lycanthropes to shift during the full moon. Within this section is a small pond, which has a large rock adjacent the students have always called the Mermaid Rock. While students are not allowed to enter the forest unaccompanied, many still sneak their way there from time to time. The staff turns a blind eye for the most part, with the exception of the night of the full moon. At the end of the spring semester, a party is thrown for the graduating class, and all students are brought to the pond to swim and celebrate.
The main campus consists of four buildings- the school, the student dormitories, the staff apartments, and the infirmary. The school, dorms and staff apartments are connected by covered glass walkways, which are enchanted to allow vampires to pass through the sunlight without fear of sunburn.
The school is where students spend the majority of their week days. It has many similar amenities as a normal high school- a cafeteria, a gymnasium, lecture classrooms as well as lab classrooms, lockers for students to house their textbooks. It also has additional necessities, such as "safety rooms" (rooms in which students may go to when they do not have control of their powers. These rooms have floor mats, conductive ground poles for energy/electrical discharge, a small fridge with blood bags, etc.).
The dormitory is three stories high, and houses roughly one hundred students. The first floor contains six student rooms (three doubles and two triples), as well as a common room with sofas, chairs, tables and televisions, as well as a small kitchenette for those who wish to use it. The second floor contains all triple bed rooms, and the third floor has double bed rooms. Each floor has communal, coed bathrooms with toilet stalls and showers. In the basement is a game room, with a pool table, a table tennis table and shelves of board games, decks of cards, puzzles and books.
Each staff member who chooses to live on campus is accommodated with a one bedroom apartment, each with private bath and a fully functioning kitchen per unit. Each staff member is allotted one parking space in the staff lot.
The infirmary is run by healers and doctors alike, and are trained to fix any malady, both magical and mundane. The infirmary is open 24 hours a day.
Modest, but beautiful, this small chapel is for all who wish to pray and worship. Mass is held every Sunday morning at 10am.
